"Maram" means tree in Malayalam and Tamil, and aspiration in Arabic. Project MARAM is our collaboration network: operators, designers, builders, technology companies and researchers who believe vessels can be operated, understood and designed better.
What you contribute
A vessel to connect, operating data, domain expertise, a technology worth integrating, or an idea worth testing.

Something measurable in the real world — a working deployment, a finding you can act on, a design decision backed by operating evidence — not a logo exchange.

One named owner on each side, an integration that can be repeated on the next vessel, and no fragmentation of data or responsibility.

For designers and builders
Before the vessel exists
MA-Con brings the same engineering foundation into early vessel design, creating continuity between design assumptions and operational evidence.
The assumptions a vessel is designed to — its powering, its expected operating pattern, the limits it is built for — become the reference MA judges it against in service. The yard sees how its design performs; the operator sees deviation from what this vessel, specifically, should do.
What that could look like
An illustration in a fictional setting, not a case study. Nothing below is a measured outcome.
A yard is building a new pilot boat for Nordkap Pilotage in the Solent District. Its documentation and calculations become the engineering model; the first sea trials give it a baseline. After handover, MA judges every working day against it: the operator sees when performance departs from expectation, and the yard sees how its design assumptions hold up in service — evidence for the next boat, agreed up front and shared with the operator's consent.
